{"id":2411,"date":"2021-05-18T09:46:47","date_gmt":"2021-05-18T08:46:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iangrandjean.com\/blog\/?p=2411"},"modified":"2021-05-18T09:48:37","modified_gmt":"2021-05-18T08:48:37","slug":"i-like-straps-but-i-dont","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.iangrandjean.com\/blog\/2021\/05\/18\/i-like-straps-but-i-dont\/","title":{"rendered":"I like straps&#8230;but I don&rsquo;t&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A strap on a camera is a bit of a problem for me &#8211; I obviously need to be able to carry the camera when I&rsquo;m not actually using it, but straps do tend to get in the way when you&rsquo;re working, I find.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Op\/Tech<\/strong> an American company, make an excellent strap, the Mirrorless Strap<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iangrandjean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/mirrorless-strap.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iangrandjean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/mirrorless-strap.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2412\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.iangrandjean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/mirrorless-strap.jpg 600w, http:\/\/www.iangrandjean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/mirrorless-strap-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a 40 cm strap, roughly 4cm wide with a non slip interior &#8211; this clips onto the long adjustable camera connectors (shown in the image above) so ideally you can detach the camera from the strap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, but&#8230;this still leaves the long connecters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peak Design came up with a very neat (and small) system for attaching things to cameras that they call Rapid Anchor links &#8211; these consist of a thin cord which fits through the D-rings on the camera, and a round plastic button which clips into the Peak Design camera straps. When these are fitted to the camera they are virtually invisible and don&rsquo;t get in the way while using the camera.
