This has nothing to do with the subject matter, more the venue itself.<\/p>\n<p>I&rsquo;m in a unique position in that as I actually work there, I have an almost unlimited access to the concert area. Sadly, the visual aspect of what I do doesn&rsquo;t seem to interest the people I work with there &#8211; after all, everyone with an iPhone is a photographer nowadays, so my concerns regarding the pitiful attention paid to lighting the artists are completely ignored, which makes my job as a photographer quite difficult.<\/p>\n<p>The last concert I covered was \u00ab\u00a0<strong>The Excitements<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb who sadly seem to be on their Goodbye tour &#8211; the group will split up at the end of the tour.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1502\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1502\" style=\"width: 525px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iangrandjean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Excitements-5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-1502\" src=\"http:\/\/www.iangrandjean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Excitements-5-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"525\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.iangrandjean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Excitements-5-1024x682.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.iangrandjean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Excitements-5-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.iangrandjean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Excitements-5-768x511.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 525px) 100vw, 525px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1502\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Au Cri&rsquo;Art le 30.11.2018<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>So I&rsquo;m going to concentrate on my work at CiRCa &#8211; this should be made easier by the arrival of my \u00ab\u00a0new toy\u00a0\u00bb (<em>see previous posts<\/em>) in the next few days &#8211; and this will also will mean that I will be able to cover more live spectacles than I have been able to up until now. <em>It&rsquo;s extremely frustrating being surrounded by an audience who have paid their places, and are &lsquo;obliged&rsquo; to hear the &lsquo;click- click&rsquo; of a camera mechanism.
