The sensor is actually &lsquo;only&rsquo; 100mp in the classic 53 x40mm format, but the innovation in this model is what Hasselblad call &lsquo;Multi shot&rsquo; &#8211; the sensor electronics &lsquo;move&rsquo; the sensor by one pixel horizontally and vertically, and the Phocus image treatment software merges the resulting files into one huge 578 mb TIFF file 11600 x 8700 pixels!<a href=\"http:\/\/www.iangrandjean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/bayer-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1076\" src=\"http:\/\/www.iangrandjean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/bayer-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"420\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.iangrandjean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/bayer-1.jpg 420w, http:\/\/www.iangrandjean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/bayer-1-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.iangrandjean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/bayer-1-300x300.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.iangrandjean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/bayer-1-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The images are quite simply amazing in detail &#8211; Hasselblad state \u00ab\u00a0<em>Multi-Shot capture does require tethering to a host computer, static subject, and controlled studio environment. \u00a0\u00bb <\/em>This is not something you&rsquo;ll be using for sports photography, or landscapes in driving wind or rain&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Oh, one last thing &#8211; the price: $47,500 &#8211;\u00a0 it&rsquo;s unnecessary to add, but this is the price for just the <strong>body\/back<\/strong>&#8230; lenses are another thing entirely<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is the latest Hasselblad which will be available in March this year.
